Here is a rare mint condition 1954 Nude Marilyn Monroe pocket calendar for sale. This vintage pinup is from her famous red velvet photo sessions for the first issue of Playboy magazine in December of 1953. These pictures became the most iconic nudes of the twentieth century. Marilyn was born Norma Jeane Mortenson in 1926. She starred in thirty feaure films encompassing dramas, comedies, musicals and thrillers. Check out "Some Like It Hot" or "Niagara" to see her at her best. She also worked as a model and a singer. Marilyn was married three times incuding one marriage to baseball legend Joe DiMaggio and one to writer Arthur Miller. Her art and image endure to this day. She died in 1962 at the young age of 36.
This pinup calendar is in crisp uncirculated condition. It is very attractive with great detail and vibrant color. Card was issued by Western Lithograph Co. It comes with its original velum envelope and a red presentation box. What a rare and pristine set!
Calendar measures 3-1/2 by 2-1/4 inches. The red paper box has a metallic sequin finish and measures 5-1/2" by 3-3/4" by one inch.
