containing a listing of all the personnel who appeared with the show that season, a listing of the complete 1955 route, the complete 1955 program, articles, photos, a listing of all the routes that Ringling played between 1919 and 1954, etc.
The 1955 Edition of the Ringling-Barnum Circus was the last full season that the show would complete
under-canvas
.
(The following year, it closed in mid-season.
When it went out again in 1957, it was as an “indoor” show that played in sports arenas.)
This route book measures about 4-3/8” x 5-3/4” and is 119 pages in length.
It comes from a non-smoking household and is clean, unmarked and in very good condition for being 66 years old.
