FRENCH 1904 CALENDAR DIE CUT WITH LETTER POCKET
"Cafe J. Debray"
This is a beautiful heavy cardboard die cut.
It has really beautiful lithograph of a woman having tea or coffee with a child playing at her feet done in the Art Nouveau flowing style.
The lithograph is very appropriate as this is an advertising piece for
Cafe J. Debray.
The calendar for the year is printed by the month with a most interesting way of listing the days of the month by list.
Next to each day there is an identification of the day.
I believe many of these are the names of the saint for that day.
December 25 is listed NOEL for Christmas.
Attached at the bottom is a pocket made to hold letters.
The piece has some soil and I have not tried to clean it at all.
I am leaving that to the buyer.
This is truly one of the most beautiful and interesting die cuts of this type I have ever seen!
It measures 19" tall X 13" wide.
