La Tena's Circus operated from 1914-1917 and was operated by Andrew Downie, who was a Canadian circus man. He met and married Christena Hewer in 1890. Christena was better known as Millie La Tena, and in 1914 he put out a 10 railroad car wild animal circus named for his wife. By 1917 the show had increased to a 15 car show and played in both the United States and Canada.
