    Forrest Dean Freeland was a freelance artist for newspapers, movies and circuses. He was art director for the Detroit Free Press, then joined the Fox Theaters. In 1939 he worked for Ringling-Barnum, designing posters and advertising. Later he worked for a number of circuses and carnivals
