    The item references
    four venerable institutions, all defunct
    :
    Ringling Bros
    ., which closed in 2017;
    Lou Jacobs
    , who performed in Ringling Bros. from 1925 to 1988 and died in 1992;
    Chicago International Amphitheatre
    , long the Ringling Bros. venue in Chicago, which was demolished in 1999; and
    Certified Grocers Midwest
    , a retailers' cooperative that distributed Raggedy Ann-labeled products and which, as best as I can tell, went out of business in 2008 after merging into Central Grocers Cooperative.
