Description
This is a vintage Time Magazine advertising piece. It is a perpetual calendar wheel / dial to see what day of the week a particular date in the past fell on. It covers years 1960 to 1987. For example, if you were born on June 12, 1962 & you wanted to know what day of the week it fell on, you would line up the year 1962 with the month of June, then look to see that it fell on a Tuesday (see last picture for this example). On the reverse side is an image of a Time Magazine with the words surrounding it "TIME TO REACH TODAY'S AND TOMORROWS BEST CUSTOMERS".This calendar wheel is made by Anderson & Sons Inc. from Westfield , Massachusetts. The black colored months are leap years. It does show some wear / scratches from age.
This would be a great piece for the Time Magazine collector. It would also be great in a shadow box.
